In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the official release, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
